Since its inception in 2004, The Roy Williams Safety Net Foundation has helped hundreds of single mothers and their families in countless ways. Here is one of those success stories.

"Being a member of The Roy Williams Safety Net Foundation has had total positive effects, not just for myself but for my children as well. Just knowing that we were a part of the foundation and that people really did care about us and our well being made a huge impact on our lives. Having the foundation on my side only encouraged me to strive for the best because I would say to myself, there is someone else out there in a worse situation, and I would make ends meet through prayer and sacrifice. But just to know that if I hadn't they would be there to give a helping hand meant so much. My son Zachary loves the fact that he is in the Safety Net Foundation, he loved the attention of being the little brother. He needed that, and it helped with his self esteem. We have benefited in so many ways through the foundation from Mother's Day Out, to our savings plan that helped me get something started for my children’s future. It gave me something to look forward to as well, learning about myself esteem, and learning about successful tips for employment and advancement. I have found a different career for myself through the Safety Net Foundation, which has provided me with permanent employment and a work environment that offers me the opportunity to grow as an employee and a person.
