"I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the donation given to Maya Angelou High School [by] the Roy Williams Safety Net Foundation. Our mission at Maya Angelou High School is to meet the needs of two generations through education, health and social skills. The graciousness of your foundation has enabled us to do that by providing the young ladies here that are pregnant and/or parenting with water and healthy snacks.
The donation allowed us to purchase a large amount of water and snacks for our young ladies. This water is handed out to the girls during the school day as well as snacks to ensure that they remain healthy and hydrated as they receive their education during this difficult and trying time in their lives when they must transition from teenager to mother in a nine month time period.
We sincerely appreciate what you have done for Maya Angelou as well as the consistent dedication and commitment that The Roy Williams Safety Net Foundation provides to single mothers in the community. The faculty and staff here at Maya Angelou wish you well and thank you again for partnering with us in order to help make a difference in the lives of our young ladies."
