Letters of Gratitude

We would like to share some of the letters we have received from those we have touched through our foundation:

Dear Roy Williams Safety Net Foundation,

I’m still overwhelmed at how amazing of a blessing was bestowed upon my children and I on behalf of your foundation.  It’s so amazing how God uses complete strangers to impact ones life.  I went from sleeping/eating on the floor and my children sleeping on an air mattress to my home being FULLY furnished by CORT Furniture.  I’m still in awe of how dramatically my life has changed within the last 5 days.

I’ve never had anyone really pour into my life as a “single mother” besides God.  As a single mother I’ve seen some trials but all I’ve ever known for the 8 years I’ve been a mother is survival.  It seems to have come naturally outside of what my faith and God have equipped me with.

Just when I started to feel somewhat defeated by my circumstances, God aligned our paths to intersect.  I will be forever grateful to The Roy Williams Safety Net Foundation.  It would take a lifetime for me to simply attempt to repay all involved parties for their selflessness and kind gesture.  The time I have now I’m more than happy to dedicate to the foundation in whatever capacity I can.

I’m truly only a phone call/email away.  A million times THANK YOU!!

Dear Roy Williams Safety Net Foundation,

May the God of all Grace, bless you and your staff members for what you have done for us and for others.  I must say thank you for your speedy response to come to our aide.  Please forgive the lateness of this letter but it would be remiss of us if we did not put the sentiments of our hearts down in writing.  We want to thank our God for this foundation and for the many families it supports.  Thank you on behalf of all of us whose burdens have been made lighter by your generosity.  May God forever keep you safe and sound,

I have a question for the Foundation and its Committee

Are you aware of the major impact that you have made in my sons and my life?  You guys are God's Angels on Earth.

J. D., I remember coming into the office one afternoon in the center of a decision that would change my life forever, either way.  I was weighing my options against, good living conditions verses tests and trials but walking into my dream.  You encouraged me to go after my dream.  Look at me now.  I am living my dream in ways I never would have imagined.

Brother Roy, I can’t thank you enough for being so selfless and putting the desires of others first.  For being a Man of God and providing us single women hope in helpless times and situations.

Also, I’d like to bring to your attention, representing Women of Black History, Ms. Masselyn Lusk.  Masselyn, you have been there for me making phone calls, pulling strings and giving words of encouragement right along with the fellas.

The Roy Williams SafetyNet Foundation is one of the very best things that has ever become of me.  I am so delighted to experience the joy, love, living of life with the TEAM and the single mothers.  I never want our fellowship to end.  Once you’re in, you’re in, right?

My favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans that I have for you…”

To raise boys with a Christian up bringing and have positive male role models in my corner is a blessing in itself.  I am a Christian, a single parent, a toddler teacher and I am exploding with JOY in my heart.  Even if everyday is a struggle, if I can help somebody else (just like you guys have done), I know everything will be okay and the journey will be well worth it.

I just want you to know that I LOVE YOU, Bro. Roy, J.D and Masselyn, Miranda, Allison (just to name a few) and to tell you Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for all that you do.  Enjoying the Lords’ Blessings
